Future Farms

Born and raised in Saskatchewan Canada on a beef cattle and horse farm where the family has been farmers and horsemen for many generations. In the mid 70's Doyle's parents Lynn and David Dertell started their pure Arabian breeding program with the importation of a stallion and mare from the USA. These horses where used to bring up the standard of the domestic heard and continue with the new found love of the Arabian horse. Doyle spent all of his youth working, showing and enjoying the horses, and grew the same passion for the Arabian horse as his parents had. At age 13 Doyle started a yearly trek to BruMarBa Arabian Stud in California, which cemented his passion as a life career and goal. This is also where Doyle grew his foundation for strong, athletic, correct beautiful Arabians, working with some of America's most influential Spanish imports. Doyle was also lucky enough to spend time at Midwest Training Center and Taylor Ranch. Here Doyle had the chance to work with a number of the most successful and talented people in the industry and spend time with some of the most influential horses from the late 90's to present day. In early 1997 Bremervale Arabian Stud brought Doyle out to Australia, and to this day he has the highest respect for the Toft family who started his Australian career and now, thanks greatly to them and his wife, Doyle calls Australia home. After meeting Kate Campbell in 1999 and her having an equal passion for the Arabian, it was no surprise that Future Farms came alive.

In a solely professional career within the Arabian industry since 1995 Doyle has achieved international success as a showman and trainer. Noted mostly as a halter trainer, Doyle has a real passion for all the saddle disciplines, tasting quite success. On the breeding side Doyle and Kate have had great success with the few individuals they have produced so fare. Years on from Future Farms inception, Doyle and Kate have been able to accumulate a small but powerful broodmare band and with the importation of BruMarBas Future, the breeding program looks very bright.

Doyle credits the best things in life to his two children Kody Lane and Jessica Lee and his wife Kate, with out them life would be nothing, with them and their shared passions, life is everything!
